Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Sierra Madre Divers. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website, services, and products. By accessing this website, booking our services, or purchasing our products, you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms

1.1. By accessing our website and/or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and any applicable local laws and regulations.

1.2. Sierra Madre Divers reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review these changes.

1.3. Continued use of our website and services following any changes to the Terms and Conditions constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

2. Booking Procedure

2.1. Courses

  • For Discover Scuba Diving, Scuba Review, and Bubblemaker courses, a 1,000 PHP per person NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  • For all other courses, a 6,000 PHP per person NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to confirm your booking. Upon receiving the deposit, we will provide you with PADI digital materials to begin your studies at your convenience.
  • The remaining balance for all courses is due upon completion.

2.2. Fun Dives

  • For Balicasag trips, full payment (NON-REFUNDABLE) and a copy of your certification are required at least two days in advance to confirm your booking.
  • For other fun dives, full payment (NON-REFUNDABLE) and a copy of your certification are required at least one day in advance to confirm your booking.

2.3. Booking Availability

  • Due to limited boat space, divemasters, instructors, and Balicasag island tickets, we advise you to consult and book ahead to secure your spots, especially during peak seasons and holidays.

3. Payment Methods

3.1. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash (PHP)
  • GCash and Bank Transfer (No service charge)
  • Credit Card, PayPal, and WeChat Pay (Subject to a 5% service charge)

3.2. Please notify us of your preferred payment method at the time of booking.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1. All deposits and payments for courses, Balicasag trips, and fun dives are NON-REFUNDABLE, except in the rare case where diving is canceled due to unsafe conditions (e.g., excessive wind and waves).

4.2. In the event of cancellation due to safety concerns, we will assist you in rescheduling your dives or provide a refund as appropriate.

5. Participant Requirements

5.1. All participants must be certified divers or enrolled in a certification course unless participating in a Discover Scuba Diving experience.

5.2. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit and medically cleared to participate in scuba diving activities.

5.3. Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by Sierra Madre Divers and its staff.

5.4. Sierra Madre Divers reserves the right to refuse service to anyone deemed unfit to dive for safety reasons.

6. Equipment Rental

6.1. Equipment rental is available for all dives. It is the participant’s responsibility to check the equipment before use.

6.2. Any damage to rental equipment due to misuse will be charged to the participant.

6.3. Equipment must be returned in good condition at the end of the dive.

7. Liability Waiver

7.1. Diving involves inherent risks, including but not limited to decompression sickness, equipment failure, and marine life injuries.

7.2. By booking with Sierra Madre Divers, you acknowledge these risks and agree to release and hold harmless Sierra Madre Divers, its staff, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in our diving activities.

8. Insurance

8.1. We strongly recommend that all divers have valid diving insurance to cover potential medical expenses related to diving activities.

8.2. Sierra Madre Divers is not responsible for any costs associated with medical treatment, evacuation, or loss of personal belongings.

9. Personal Data and Privacy

9.1. Sierra Madre Divers respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9.2. By using our website and services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1. All content, including text, graphics, logos, and images, on the Sierra Madre Divers website is the property of Sierra Madre Divers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

10.2. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our express written permission.

11. Governing Law

11.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Philippines.

11.2. Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
